Are you familiar with the coverlet made by the beloved author Jane Austen, her sister Casandra and their mother?

And have you heard the great news? Riley Blake Designs have been working with Jane Austen House and have reproduced the beautiful floral prints in the original coverlet. The range includes two panels, one with the large centre diamond, and other florals used in the middle diamonds and the other panel is the printed border diamonds. I know, it sounds too good to be true.

This means is that you will be able to create your own Jane Austen quilt, without piecing the 2,500 small diamonds that make up the border. Just straight sewing and some clever hand or machine quilting and the quilt will be made. The finished size of the quilt is 80inch x 100inch.
To further add to the excitement, Riley Blake have made available a special commemorative boxed kit, with all the fabric, the template and instructions you need to piece together the quilt top, backing fabric is not included. I have a small number of these kits arriving in the coming weeks, they are due July/August. Each kit will sell for $395.00 post postage costs.
If you would like to secure one of these special boxed kits, please send me an email. I will send an invoice for a $100.00 deposit. I will then notify you when the kit arrives and organise the dispatch.
If you miss out on a boxed kit, you will still be able to make the quilt by purchasing the panel fabric and fabric off the bolt.
What a great gift this quilt will make for a Jane Austen fan and with the borders ready just to sew on, it could be ready in time for Christmas gift giving.
Edit: I have just had word that the Jane Austen fabric will be arriving in July, but the kits will not be available until September. Sorry for any inconvenience.
