I am home again after Australasian Quilt Convention 2015. It was a wonderful time, busy but in a great way.
This year I was delighted to featured the work of Lisa Kerr and Louise Lott, who design under the name of Max and Louise Pattern Co. Lisa and Louise design beautiful patterns, regularly making different versions of the same quilt. In fact, the hardest part of the whole week was trying to decide what projects we would display on our stall, they were all so beautiful.
I really enjoy the annual trip to AQC, it is great to see so many of my customers and friends who are not able to make the drive to my shop, and it is great to catch up and chat with other shop owners.
This year there was added excitement to the trip, my show neighbour and great friend Linda, won the prestigious, Bernina National Best in Australia Award. The award is for the quilt judged the best of all state winners. Linda has composed a lovely blog post about the award here.
You may have noticed from the top photograph that Natures Journey is quilted and bound. Yay! The Block of the Month program has begun and is ready to ship. Please let me know if you are interested as there are limited places for the same fabric combinations that I have used.
Finally, Elm Grove Patchwork will be closed tomorrow, Anzac Day.
Have a great weekend,
Lenora.
