Do you have a copy of Treasures in the Barn by Linda Collins?
If you have, you will know exactly the quilt I am talking about. It is the one you look at, then get mesmerised with the funny little blocks that are not quite like anything you have seen before.
These funny little blocks grow on you. You keep thinking about them. Every time you walk past your stash of fabric, you think how great those fabrics would look made up in those quirky little blocks.
And if you are really lucky...or if fate would lead you to the original quilt, you find that you are under the spell and just have to start stitching them up, especially with the template set which makes it so easy to do.
So I have succumbed, and boy I am enjoying sewing these little blocks of happiness. I know this is going to be one of my special favourite quilts, not just because I am using my special stashed fabric which I have collected over the years, but because these little blocks just make me smile.
I have both Treasures in the Barn, and the template sets available if you find yourself getting drawn into this delightfully quirky quilt.
There has been some fun on the farm. Three weeks ago my boys dusted off the incubator and filled it with 24 eggs. The eggs are hatching, with 18 strong chicks at present.
Life is good!
