The Friendship Frolic is in full swing. While the shop has been a bit chaotic at times....passports to stamp, lucky dips, car trial forms, lollies to deliver in bags... (I now have a system work out).....it has been delightful to see everyone and to hear the laughter around the shop. It continues on over the weekend, ending 4pm on Sunday.
To brighten up these wintery days, I have some great classes planned for the coming weeks.
Margaret Mew, from 'Quilt Station' fame, is coming down to Nullawarre to teach a brand new quilt called Henrietta and Friends. This lovely medallion style quilt features a Lone Star centre then a series of outer borders including lovely Peony blocks.
The class is being held over the weekend of 16th & 17th July and the cost is $170.00.
Also on offer is a great beginners class with Annette Blake. Annette Blake who owned the delightful Fragrant Cottage in Camperdown and Warrnambool for many years, has a wealth of patchwork experience. She has designed this fabulous sampler quilt, encompassing a comprehensive number of techniques which she will teach on top of colour and fabric selection. Please contact me if you are interested.
Also on offer from Annette is a class on Hand Piecing. This one day class is on Saturday 22nd October. Hand piecing is often past off as 'just a running stitch', however there is so much more involved to obtain neat, tight points. Annette will pass on all the finer points to guarantee stunning results.
And to further tempt you, this is Agnes Victoria.
Still a work in progress, this will be a monthly class commencing with Annette in November. The cost is $130.00 and the classes will run for six months. Places are limited so please secure your place if you are interested.
Have a great weekend!
