My blogging has been rather terrible over the past few months. I do apologise, my intentions were good, just time has been against me. Before I sign off for this year, I thought I could do a little catchup post.
Since I last dropped in, lots of new fabrics have arrived. There are some bolts of Petite Prints Deux by French General for Moda
and some new Liberty Tana Lawn
I have also had a number of bolts of 1930's prints and some new reproduction fabrics from Paula Barnes Companions. I will be entering these onto my website over the break.
Some new books have also arrived, well some not so new...
I was thrilled to welcome some 'celebrity quilters' to my store in November. Gail Pan and Debbie Busby who was visiting all the way from the US. (Unfortunately I did not take a photo of the lovely couple.) Debbie was delightful to meet.... so too was Gail....and Debbie shared a lot of her tips on wool dyeing. I have since been back dyeing and felting wool. Lucky for me Debbie had some of her felted woollen fabric with her, and I was able to purchase a number of pieces. These are now in the shop.
It was a bit of a pinch yourself moment, as I have a number of Mary's fabrics in my shop, including her beautiful Palampore. (Thankfully I did get a photo of this lovely couple).
Our Applique group has continued to meet and November and December saw lots of Tah-Dah moments. I have to show you Coral's stunning Civil War Bride Quilt
and Sharyn's now exquisitely hand quilted Insanity Quilt.
That is a little of what has been happening around the shop. I do promise to be back again next year on a more regular basis.
Thanks for sticking with me over these last few months, and thanks for your support with Elm Grove Patchwork. I wish you a very Merry Christmas with long happy days filled with laughter, friendship and fun. May 2016 be a wonderful year for you.
Have a safe and happy holiday,
