Sorry for my absence over the past couple of weeks, we have been working day and night trying to complete our annual harvest, which I am pleased to announce, is now officially over!
It has been one the hardest harvests we have done. The long, wet winter prevented us from being able to get the tractors onto the paddocks, and rather then cutting for silage, it was left for hay. The extra growth has caused massive headaches with the baler not being able to cope with the high windrows, jamming up every 10 - 20 bales. While it has been a terribly frustrating time, I certainly am not complaining, as I am well aware of other farmers who are dealing with another drought and worrying about how they are going to feed their stock for the next six months. We have so much to be thankful for.
So, what is new in stock?
Honey Sweet from Fig Tree Quilts (Moda),
Ink Well, a reproduction range by Judie Rothermel.
And yesterday these four bolts of Jefferson County. (More of this range is on backorder).
I have also had an exciting delivery from the girls at Millhouse Collections, some advanced sampling of Vintage Happy, a new Riley Blake fabric due for release in February/March.
I am over the moon, as this will form a great base for my version of Gossip in the Garden, which Anni has been madly writing the pattern for. It is not too far away from being released.
Elm Grove Patchwork will be closing tomorrow, December 21 and will remain closed until Wednesday 8th January. It has been a massive year in our household, and a break to recharge the batteries is definitely needed. I will be updating the website over the next few days; a lot of new stock has yet to be entered. Please feel free to browse and shop, although I will not be processing any orders until after January 2.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful fun filled time with family and friends. Stay safe, and I hope your enjoy some peaceful sewing time.
