For a long time now, I have been following the Secret Sewing Sisterhood blog and over the past months I have become increasingly excited for the arrival of Di Ford's book, Primarily Quilts.
Di, who previously owned 'Primarily Patchwork' in Melbourne, has an extraordinary talent for quilt making, and this 240 page book shares 16 of her gorgeous patterns. I have been extremely lucky to have a box of these books delivered to me today. Let me show you inside.
A list of the projects.
My all time favourite; Phebe (I think it is those sheep)
It is truly an amazing book. Apart from the patterns, Di shares her tips on fabric selection, fussy cutting, broderie perse and applique, and the styling in the book is beautiful. If you love traditional quilt making, I am sure this will be a book you will always treasure.
Unfortunately I only have a limited number of books, and I am unable to purchase anymore until they reach France in the middle of April. I am still waiting on the final invoice, so I can not tell you the exact price just yet, but if you would like one, just send me an email and I will put your name on it.
Guess what I'm off to do?
